Iqaluit residents should not be alarmed Thursday when multiple agencies take part in “security exercises” at the airport, according to the Government of Nunavut.
The exercises are scheduled to run between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to a GN news release. The RCMP, Canada Border Services Agency, Iqaluit Fire Department and Nunavut Emergency Management Services will be involved.
These exercises are regularly scheduled at various locations across the North and the airport will continue operating as usual, the release said.
