Police in Baker Lake are asking for the public’s help after a man was found dead in a home in the community over the weekend.
Officers were called to a residence near Fourth Avenue and Third Street at about 1 p.m. on Saturday, said RCMP Cpl. Ashley Daley in a news release Monday.
The release identifies the deceased as Moses Killulark, 29. The death is being treated as suspicious, Daley told Nunatsiaq News.
RCMP Nunavut’s Major Crime Unit has been called in to help with the investigation, and investigators are asking people to contact the Baker Lake RCMP detachment if they have any information about Killulark’s “whereabouts and activities” on Dec. 12 or 13.
Those wishing to remain anonymous can phone Crime Stoppers or leave a tip online at www.p3tips.com.
The cause of death has not been determined and will not be known until an autopsy has been conducted, Daley said.
