Police promote bicycle safety in Kuujjuaq

The Kativik Regional Police Force held a successful bike rally in Kuujjuaq on June 16, Chief Brian Jones said.

Jones said the event is held to improve bike safety in Kuujjuaq.

Young bikers flocked to the Kuujjuaq Forum from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. that day for a barbecue, prizes, bike repair and safety tips.

Jones said organizers gave away 22 bicycles to kids in Kuujjuaq.
