Power outage planned for parts of Clyde River Friday
Workers to turn off power in order to hook new wharf to grid
If you live in Clyde River, you should expect to be without power for approximately two hours Friday morning. Qulliq Energy Corp. is hooking the hamlet’s new wharf to power and will cut power to the area highlighted in yellow in order to do this work. Parts of Clyde River should expect to be without power for about two hours Friday morning so workers can hook up the hamlet’s new wharf to power.
Qulliq Energy Corp. announced the planned outage Wednesday afternoon in a public service announcement.
It’s scheduled to start Friday at 6 a.m. and last until 8 a.m.
The affected area runs from the harbour to the Clyde River fire department and also along the road toward the community radio station and cemetery.
Clyde River’s new $38-million small craft harbour is scheduled for completion by the end of this summer’s construction season.
