RCMP in Kinngait say they are investigating the “suspicious” death of a female in the community.
On Monday, officers responded to a report of a deceased female at a residence there. The age and identity of the female were not released.
Nunavut RCMP’s major crime unit, as well as the forensic identification unit, are investigating, said Sgt. Pauline Melanson in a news release Tuesday, in which she termed the incident “suspicious.”
RCMP have not responded to Nunatsiaq News’ request for further information.
