Remembrance Day holiday to impact municipal services in Iqaluit

The Nov. 13 holiday for Remembrance Day will affect some public services in Iqaluit.

There will be no water and sewer truck service or residential garbage collection that day, the city announced in a news release Friday.

Service will resume Nov. 14 at 6 a.m.

Residents can request water delivery by calling the city’s dispatch service at 867-979-5650.

The city also announced that on Nov. 11 and 13 the pool and fitness centre will be open from noon until 4 p.m. Other recreation facilities will be open on Saturday but closed on Monday.

As well, City of Iqaluit offices will be closed on Nov. 13.
