Saami hold world’s coolest film festival
The BBC news service reports that a local Saami film festival was held in a snow theatre in Kautokeino, Norway.
“The entire cinema is made from snow,” director Anne Laila Utsi said, “We’re build an amphitheatre, with reindeer skins to sit on, and the actual screen is also made of snow.”
According to one member of the audience, “you can hardly see where the cinema ends and the Arctic wilderness begins.”
