Saddened by recent death

I was very sad to hear of the death of Inusiq Akavak. Being a former resident of Iqaluit, I knew who she was and believed her to be a very kind woman. I remember her coming to my house or my place of work and selling brooches. She always had a smile for you and was always pleasant to speak with.

It saddens me to hear she is gone. I hope she is now at peace and we all know she is in a better place.
