Salluit man dies after ATV accident

Nunavik police say driver lost control of his side-by-side vehicle and flipped; no word on condition of passenger

A Salluit man died Monday after apparently losing control of his side-by-side all-terrain vehicle, Nunavik Police Services say.

Deputy chief Jean-François Morin said the man was driving with one passenger when the vehicle flipped.

The driver was killed in the incident. Police did not release his name or age. No additional information was provided on the passenger’s condition.

Morin said the crash remains under investigation.
