Scholarships for cadets

IQALUIT — The Canadian Forces Northern Area is offering a new scholarship to help northern cadets who want to go to college or university this September.

The Cadet Millennium Scholarship Fund will offer a one-time scholarship of $5,500 to one eligible cadet to attend a recognized post-secondary institution full-time.

As well, the Youth Initiative Porgram allows any current cadet in good standing who pursues his or her post-secondary studies on a full-time basis to apply for a one-time Canadian Cadet Scholarship totaling $1,000.

As well, $500 bursaries from the Lord Strathcona Trust Fund are also available.
