The search for a missing boy in Kugluktuk has entered its second day.

RCMP in the Kitikmeot region hamlet of 1,500 issued a call for public assistance Friday in the search for 11-year-old Jonas Klengenberg, who was reported missing by his family on Thursday after leaving his home early that morning.

In a news release, the RCMP said the boy was last seen wearing grey one-piece pyjamas and black and red shoes. He is four feet tall, weights 52 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Kugluktuk community members have rallied together on Facebook to help with the search. Residents are being asked to check around their properties and by the shoreline for him.

Kugluktuk RCMP asked anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts to phone the detachment at 982-1111.

Read the article again. Nothing has changed and the child is still missing despite now 6 days of searching on land and water.
The searchers have searched beyond 4-mile bay with no sitings and they continue to do so.
If you have an ATV, please offer your services to S and R by contacting Angulalik P. and offering to search.
