Sewage lagoon no place for a stroll

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Iqaluit’s deputy mayor wants residents enjoying a stroll around town to not wander too near the decommissioned sewage lagoon.

At a council meeting on Tuesday, Glenn Williams said he thought signs should be erected near the lagoon for public safety, as well as for liability reasons.

“It’s not a good place to go dirt biking, or to try out those new hiking boots,” Williams said.
