Sewage spill update

The City of Iqaluit has met the first requirement of a resolution resulting from charges laid in connection with a 2001 sewage spill.

Environment Canada has approved the city’s new standard operation manual for sewage stations one and two. A training program has been scheduled for late May to meet the final requirement of the court’s resolution.
