Snowmobile thieves still at large

A 2003 Polaris Classic 500 was found stripped to the bone on the Road to Nowhere on July 28, seven months after it was stolen from Iqaluit’s Lego Land area.

When found last month, only the chassis remained. RCMP were able to confirm the serial number and identify it as the remains of the missing snowmobile. Iqaluit RCMP are still looking for clues as to who is responsible.

A large search – in Iqaluit and several other Nunavut communities – was unsuccessful at the time of the theft.
