The Department of Health is advising Taloyoak residents that services at the health centre will be reduced starting Saturday due to staff shortages.

The service reduction will be in place until Oct. 26, according to the department’s news release Friday.

The health centre will remain open for emergencies and same-day urgent appointments, telehealth appointments, scheduled follow-ups, blood work, X-rays, medical travel and prescription refills.

However, routine appointments that were scheduled between Oct. 19 and 26 will be rescheduled and patients will be contacted to arrange new dates, the release said.
