Teen girls injured in ATV mishap

IQALUIT — Three Iqaluit teens who were riding together on an ATV last Friday were injured when their vehicle spun off the road about one kilometre north of Apex after the driver lost control.

An RCMP press release says the girls, aged 16-18, were all treated at the Baffin Regional Hospital.

Two were released, while one was held overnight and airlifted to Ottawa for more medical treatment.

The RCMP have yet to lay any charges, but they say they are continuing their investigation.
