Thank you to Doug Lem

The Iqaluit District Education Authority and the principals of the four Iqaluit schools wish to publicly thank Mr. Doug Lem, proprietor of Nunavut Catering and Consulting Services, for his many acts of generosity to our schools and students.

Mr. Lem has kindly and generously provided catering to school staff on special occasions such as World Teacher Day. On World Teacher Day, Mr. Lem prepared and delivered trays of goodies for each school staff member to help them celebrate a day that acknowledges the diligence and caring of teachers.

Mr. Lem has also provided food and beverages to the annual general meeting of the Iqaluit District Education Authority for several years.

Additionally, he makes very generous monetary contributions to schools to fund student travel. For this, the principals, teachers and coaches would like to take their hats off to Doug.

Mr. Lem is a true supporter of education. When offers of payments are made, he very politely, but firmly, tells us to save our money for the schools.

The Iqaluit District Education Authority is aware that Doug quietly and with modesty contributes to other worthwhile ventures in our community. Thank you Doug for your support and generosity, we view you as an unsung hero.
