Three Nunavik communities on boil water advisory
Measure is preventive and does not affect water for hand washing
Three Nunavik communities have been put on a boil water advisory after drinking-water samples were taken on April 8.
This is a preventive measure, affecting the communities of Akulivik, Tasiujaq and Kangirsuk, according to the Kativik Regional Government.
The boil water advisory does not affect residents’ ability to frequently wash their hands in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Water is still safe for hand washing, the KRG confirmed.
The boil water notice is in effect until April 15.
