Time to get your Nunavut driving licence

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

IQALUIT — As of April 3, the Nunavut Motor Vehicles Division is replacing all Northwest Territories driving licenses with Nunavut driving licenses.

Nunavut residents are asked to give their current NWT driving licenses to their local driving license issuing office for replacement during the 30 days before their birthday.

If you absolutely cannot reach a driving license issuing office in the 30 days before your birthday, you may request replacement of your driving license within 90 days before your birthday.

Renewal fees will be charged only on licenses due to expire between April 1, 2000 and March 31, 2001. For all other licenses, no fee will be charged and expiry dates will match the expiry date on the current NWT licenses.
