Two busted for coke in Iqaluit
Following a six-month investigation, the RCMP on June 15 arrested and charged Gino Larochelle, a 40 year-old Iqaluit resident, with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The investigation stems from a seizure at the Iqaluit airport of 56 grams of cocaine from an Iqaluit woman on January 20.
Larochelle was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
Meanwhile, Susie Nooshoota, 20, of Iqaluit faces a charge of possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in court July 4.
