Uvagut decision next week

IQALUIT — The Nunavut Liquor Licensing Board is expected to make a decision on the controversial Uvagut Bar liquor licence application next week.

Board members are scheduled to meet in camera next week to discuss the application. A decision is expected to follow the meeting.

The board hosted a public meeting on the issue in Iqaluit last month, but did not make a final decision immediately.

Meanwhile, the Navigator Inn has filed an application to increase the occupancy at its Chart Room Lounge to 58 people. The lounge currently seats 33.
