The City of Iqaluit’s recreation department is inviting people to get busy this fall.
It’s hosting an in-person mass registration in September for various activities, sports, volunteer opportunities and other programming.
Local organizations that have been part of the mass registration in previous years include the Iqaluit Curling Club, the Iqaluit Skating Club and the children’s art class.
The event will be held at the AWG Arena Complex from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.
Sports organizations, volunteer groups and not-for-profit groups interested in attending can register for a free table online using ActiveNet.
Registration closes Sept. 12.
Why can’t we be like other cities that allow people to register for activities without the mass chaos of making people go to a big event like this??? It’s ridiculous and I wish we could be smart enough to do this in a more effective and efficient way.
