Youth aged 14 to 17 can attend journalism and writing course every Wednesday evening in October

Nunatsiaq News and the Pinnguaq Iqaluit Makerspace are hosting a four-week journalism and writing workshop for youth between the ages of 14 to 17.

The first session is on Oct. 5, and will cover the basics of journalism, writing and storytelling in general.

Each workshop will be led by Nunatsiaq News and Makerspace staff and will also include special guests.

Stories produced in the course will be published on the Nunatsiaq News website and in the paper’s weekly online e-edition.

The free course will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pinnguaq Iqaluit Makerspace building at 1412 Sikituuq Crt. every Wednesday in October.

Makerspace will provide laptops and all technology necessary to participate.
