Wanted: Northern women writers

A group of women authors and reporters in Yellowknife are calling for contributions to a new book featuring the work of northern female writers, photographers and artists.

The theme of the book is “love, strength and diversity through adversity,” which will also serve as the anthology’s title. The book will include essays, poems and stories.

“We want to celebrate: what gives you strength/purpose? What makes you proud of this place? Why do/should we keep striving/building… amongst other thoughts and dreams you have,” said a call for submissions.

The book’s editors include Carol Morin of CBC North’s Northbeat and Elenore Sturko.
