Weekend power outages planned for Cambridge Bay, Baker Lake
Outages are needed while crews perform work, Qulliq Energy Corp. says

Most residents in Cambridge Bay and Baker Lake can expect planned power outages in their communities this weekend, Qulliq Energy Corp. announced Thursday.
In Cambridge Bay, power will be out from 8 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday.
The shutdown is necessary while workers install new switches “to improve overall reliability,” according to the news release.
Baker Lake residents will be without power from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday and again on Sunday.
On Saturday, Qulliq crews are relocating a power pole while Sunday’s power outage is required to replace a broken pole.
and the rest of the communities will have their standard unplanned power outages.
