The West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative is seeking proposals for six series of workshops to be held at the Kinngait Studios in Cape Dorset.
Canadian and international creators working in any medium can apply, the co-op said in a release.
The competition is “intended to identify unique and innovative studio workshop opportunities aimed at developing the skills of West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative Inuit artist members.”
The workshops will be open to Cape Dorset community members and are limited to five participants each.
Each session will be five hours long and will run 10 times over two weeks.
All travel and accommodation costs for workshop instructors will be paid by the Co-op. Instructors will also receive an instructor fee and a per diem, the Co-op said.
Workshop proposals should include a detailed syllabus, artist resumé and professional portfolio in a single PDF document.
Proposals can be submitted by email to William Huffman, Marketing Manager at Dorset Fine Arts, at whuffman@westbaffin.com.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 6, 2019.

Would very much like to know how to apply. I am a fibre artist working misting with soft sculpture.
Hey Rich … thanks for your interest in the workshop session! If you forward me your email address, I can send you the call for proposals. Thanks again! Will
Hi Will, I’m also interested in applying for the workshop session. My work partner and I give spoken word and cinepoetry workshops at international schools and would love to bring it up North.
Hello, I am very interested in making a proposal, but only just saw your call for artists today. Please let me know if you are able to accept a late application. Thanks,
Marcus Macdonald
