Whale Cove to see planned power outages this weekend

Any late night plans in Whale Cove this weekend may have to be done without power, as there is a planned outage in the hamlet this weekend.
The outage is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday between midnight and 4 a.m., according to Qulliq Energy Corp. It will be community-wide.
An announcement from the power corp. says workers need to disconnect power to allow a new generator to connect to Whale Cove’s power plant.
