MLA swearing-in day begins

Aivilik MLA Hannah Angootealuk, right, is the first of 21 MLAs to be sworn into office Thursday morning. Nunavut Commissioner Eva Aariak and RCMP Staff Sgt. Maj. Pauline Melanson, who is pictured at left, presided over the ceremony to officially welcome the MLAs to office. Members are scheduled to meet for their first sitting Thursday afternoon.
