Tyler Enookie Qaqqasiq passed away on July 29, 2013 at the all too young age of four.

Tyler leaves his mother, Rayla Qaqqasiq, and father, Stephen Critch.

We miss him greatly and our hearts are broken. Four years was not enough time for Tyler to share all the love in his heart.

While his time was short, yours is going on. Share your love with others.

Tyler had so many things he was going to accomplish. Every day he wanted to follow his mother and father to work. He could not wait to learn.

In my mind, as a mother, I see Tyler playing with other kids and looking up often to see if I was there for him.

And he would smile. He was curious and aware. Smiling. There will never be a day that goes by that I do not think of my son. He had that effect on everyone.

We will miss you Tyler, with all our hearts, and you will never be forgotten.

We would like to thank a lot of people:

• Steve’s sisters, brothers and father, for coming to Iqaluit from Newfoundland and Labrador;

• Rayla’s mother, father, brother and sisters, for coming to Iqaluit;

• the Akavak family for being there;

• the people of Arctic Bay, for holding a memorial service;

• the RCMP;

• the City of Iqaluit bylaw department;

• the City of Iqaluit fire and ambulance crew;

• the doctors and nurses at Qikiqtani hospital;

• local funeral services;

• Rev. Jonas Allooloo, for providing the funeral services and the Anglican church;

• People who brought food and flowers to us;

• People who came to see us;

* And anyone who we might have missed.

Thank you so much for the support. Steve and I will always thank you for caring for us and being with us through the hard time we went though.
