To mark the end of the 2012 Arctic Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon, participants attended a glittery bash March 10 in the Canadian Games Centre, which included performances and words of encouragement from Rick Hansen, the Canadian paralympian. Alaska's team left with 190 ulus, the Northwest Territories 115, Alberta North 104 and Yamal (Russia) fifth with 101. Greenland took home 50 ulus and Nunavut took 49. Nunavik-Quebec earned 36 ulus and Sapmi (Scandanavia) 13. Team Nunavut received the Hodgson Trophy for fair play and team spirit. The next games take place in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2014.
