Nunavut MP Leona Aglukkaq, Canada's minister responsible for the Arctic Council, fields questions May 15 in Kiruna, Sweden at the end of the morning ministerial meeting. Her main message: that the Arctic has been home to indigenous Arctic peoples who will have a voice in the circumpolar region's future. During the news conference Aglukkaq referred questions about Greenland Premier Aleqa Hammond's boycott of the ministerial meeting to the Danish foreign minister.
