Kivalliq-born author and storyteller Michael Kusugak, left, recently returned from a three-week trip to India (pictured above), Singapore, Macau, Shanghai and South Korea where he served as a kind of Inuit ambassador — visiting schools, libraries and other venues, teaching people on the other side of the world what it's like to live in Nunavut. Mumbai, India, with a population of nearly 12 million people, was one of the most memorable places, he said.  “I kept telling the kids, I come from a big place, Rankin Inlet, with 3,000 people!” he laughs. “They couldn’t get their head around that.
