Sinuupa, a four-piece rock band led by award-winning Inuk musician Etua Snowball of Kuujjuaq, plays at the recent Puvirnituq Snow Festival. Sinuupa is set to perform April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Inuksuk high school in Iqaluit. Sinuupa’s latest album, Culture Shock, received an Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award for Best Rock CD of 2012. Local musician David Lintaman will open up the concert, put on by Alianait arts festival. Tickets are $22 in advance from Arctic Ventures Marketplace or $25 at the door.
