Photo: The dance must go on

Who cares if it's the day after Halloween? Teen Iqalungmiut dance to their favourite pop tunes at the City of Iqaluit's annual Spook-A-Rama dance. Conor Goddard, the city's youth co-ordinator, said the drug- and alcohol-free dance for 13- to 18-year-olds is in its 28th year and is always popular among youth, as well as the city's generous sponsors, who donate prizes and services. About 100 $5 tickets were sold and, as usual, the location—at the Cadet Hall this year—was kept secret. Grade 11 student Peter Nookiguaq helped decorate the hall earlier in the day, something he's done in the past, he says, because he enjoys getting involved and helping out. (PHOTO BY LISA GREGOIRE)
