As something to look forward to Christmas Craft Sales/Bazaar each year, always admire beautiful crafted items! Recently a friend mentioned to me of one being held in Iqalukktutiaq where the sale was held prior to Rememberance Day (2 years in a row she mentioned), this to me is a disrespect to our fallen soldiers who fought for our country. Sorry but not sorry for saying this,
Im pretty sure the entire reason for the soldiers to fight was for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today, which include holding these events. November 11 is a day to remember, but i’m sure all those who gave their lives are happy that we can do what we want when we want due to their sacrifice.
The craft sale mentioned in this article happened on Nov. 15th, after Remembrance Day.
What’s the tie between craft sale in Iqaluit and in Iqaluktuutiaq? You’re not from Nunavut if you confuse these names!
