Don’t forget: this weekend, we spring forward one hour

Daylight saving time starts Sunday, March 10

In Nunavik and most of Nunavut, clocks will move forward one hour at 2 a.m., Sunday, March 10. The only exception is Coral Harbour, which does not use daylight saving time. Like the province of Saskatchewan, Coral Harbour stays on central standard time all year long.

It’s upon us already—that time of year when we move our clocks forward to get more daylight in the evening and less daylight in the mornings.

Daylight saving time comes into effect across most of North America on March 10 at 2 a.m.

That means you should move your clocks forward by one hour before you go to sleep on Saturday, March 9.

You’ll lose one hour of sleep that night. But afterward, you’ll see one extra hour of light in the evenings.

The change affects all of Nunavut and Nunavik, with one exception—Coral Harbour.

Like Saskatchewan, Coral Harbour remains on central standard time all year long.
