Iqaluit RCMP, firefighters raise over $1,000 in charity hockey game

Iqaluit residents placed their bets on the winning team Saturday at a charity hockey game between the Iqaluit RCMP and fire department. Those attending placed donations in one of two boots at the entrance, helping the teams raise more than $1,000 for local Movember men’s health initiatives. The RCMP and firefighters also collected money and non-perishable food items to be donated to Joamie Elementary School. As for the hockey game, the RCMP won 6-5. (Photo by Meral Jamal)
