The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating an “incident” that occurred while an Air Inuit cargo plane was landing in Kangiqsujuaq last month.

Two safety board investigators arrived in the village Sunday, the board said Monday.

During a late-afternoon landing on March 30, a problem occurred in the De Havilland Dash 8-314’s landing gear, Nunavik Police Service deputy Chief Jean-Francois Morin told Nunatsiaq News.

Air Inuit CEO Christian Busch declined to provide further detail, saying only that the plane “experienced an incident during landing.”

None of the three crew members were injured.

Following the incident, Busch said the plane will be transported to the company’s maintenance facility for repairs.
