Rankin Inlet man faces charges after single vehicle accident
RCMP say speed and alcohol may have been factors in the collision

A man from Rankin Inlet faces impaired driving charges after a single vehicle collision in the community on the morning of Saturday, June 15.
The driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries by emergency medical services shortly before 9 a.m. Medical services appeared alongside RCMP, the fire department and bylaw officers.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the accident, said the Nunavut RCMP V Division in a news release on Monday, June 17.
The 26-year-old driver was released with a 24-hour roadside suspension and a promise to appear. The driver is scheduled to appear in court on September 9 in Rankin Inlet for his charges.
