Remembering the murdered and missing

Alexia Cousins, left, and Angel Ootoova prepare to head a march of 75 Iqaluit residents in recognition of Red Dress Day on Tuesday afternoon. Ootoova holds a picture of her late mother, Della Ootoova, who was murdered in Iqaluit in 2008. The event was organized by YWCA-Agvik Nunavut to raise awareness of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, gender diverse and two-spirit people. (Photo by Daron Letts)

Would love to support this but find it very difficult to support when murderers and beaters are given light sentences and not the sentences that the victims deserve. The victims are given life sentences, not the perpetrators.

My friend who lives in Liverpool England, told me that 40 thousand adults and
70 thousand children go missing in UK every year.
What a world we live in !

Would like to support this cause, however, until appropriate sentences are handed out to those who are charged, it is very difficult.
