Sliced mushrooms recalled because of listeria concerns
Recalls are from Metro Brands, Carleton and PC Organics sliced mushrooms

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is ordering recalls for sliced mushrooms because of a possible listeria contamination, the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health says.
Metro Brands, Carleton and PC Organics are the brands that are recalling their sliced mushroom products.
Even though food may not look or smell bad, it can still be contaminated with listeria, the department said in a public health advisory issued Monday, adding that recalled sliced mushrooms should be thrown out or returned to where the product was purchased.
Listeria symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, stomach pain, a stiff neck or a bad headache.
The department advised Nunavummiut to call a local health centre if they think they are becoming sick because of the sliced mushrooms.

I saw that most of these recalled mushrooms have Best Before dates of November 8th, so we should expect to see them on store shelves at Coop and Northern in another week or so.
