Photo: Wind on snow: Mother Nature sculpts the Arctic landscape

The most beautiful, natural art can come from the fiercest weather: Sanikiluaq residents were enjoying temperatures above zero on Christmas eve but then a storm blew through on Christmas Day — while many in Ontario and Quebec were experiencing a green Christmas — and dropped temperatures in that southern Hudson Bay community to -15 C within hours. These table-top snow sculptures were part of what Mother Nature left behind on Dec. 26, once the wind stopped blowing and visibility returned. (PHOTO BY SARAH MEEKO)
