He made the comments after a commercial break in the action early in the game, where the Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting the Jays in Game 3 with the series tied at one win apiece.
“I know someplace else that’s watching this game right now, the Stone House Bar and Grill in Nunavut,” said the former Blue Jays catcher, getting the name of the bar not quite right.
He went on to praise bar manager Valerie Hill for her hospitality.
Martinez apparently learned of the Nunavut viewers after an Iqaluit fan sent a note to the Jays’ fans relations staff.
“They are big Blue Jay fans, and we want to thank you for watching,” Martinez said.
His fellow Sportsnet commentator Dan Shulman chimed in.
“Amazing — just an amazing fan base sprawled over so many thousands of kilometres across the country,” Shulman said. “And everybody tuned in to this game tonight.”
Perhaps not everybody — candidates in Nunavut’s territorial election might instead have been glued to their computer screens watching voting results which continued to trickle in all night.

Except Buck said StoneHouse 3 times and never actually said StoreHouse
