Man accused of breaking into house, threatening occupants with gun in Rankin Inlet
43-year-old faces several charges including uttering threats and discharging a firearm

A 43-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly broke into a home in Rankin Inlet, threatened those inside and fired a gun.
Police responded to a call at around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday about a break and enter on Tuungaaq Street, said a news release issued Friday by RCMP.
No injuries were reported, the release said.
Officers arrested the suspect without incident.
He faces several charges, including break and enter, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The man also faces two counts each of pointing a firearm and uttering threats to cause death, discharging a firearm and two counts of unsafe storage of a firearm.
He was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 19 in Iqaluit.
