A man has been charged following a string of break and enters in Iqaluit this year.
RCMP in Iqaluit charged a 30-year-old man with three counts of break and enter and committing an indictable offence, theft under $5,000, assault with and possession of a weapon, and possession of break-in instruments.
The break and enters allegedly happened on six separate occasions between January and August this year, RCMP said in a press release Wednesday.
He will remain in custody until a future court appearance.
The Iqaluit RCMP thanked the public for assisting them in identifying and arresting him.
The man is among a handful of others who have also been charged with break and enters this year in Iqaluit.
In late January, police charged two men, 32 and 40, with break and enter offenses following a string of robberies.
