Answers:

1. C — Tununiq MLA Brian Koonoo might miss the breathtaking mountain views from his hamlet of Pond Inlet, but he didn’t specifically cite that among his reasons for resigning from cabinet. The former environment minister misses his family, hunting, and being able to advocate for his constituents.

2. B — Scientists studied lake water upwind from Iqaluit and downwind from Iqaluit and concluded that microplastics are likely drifting into the environment from the city.

3. C — Frob Gold Strong Ale is 6.8 per cent alcohol by volume. Under the new markup structure, the Finance Department applies a $2.50 markup to beers stronger than six per cent.

4. A — Transportation and Infrastructure Minister George Hickes did not provide an estimate for when Cambridge Bay’s runway might be paved. But he’s hoping the federal government moves quickly. “The sooner the better,” he said.

5. B — Players and a coach from the Toronto Sceptres, a Professional Women’s Hockey League team, were in Iqaluit Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 to run drills, lead workouts and host scrimmage exercises.
