RCMP were dispatched after receiving a call about gunshots at 10 p.m. that night. They searched several areas around Area 6 of Rankin Inlet and spoke to several witnesses.
However, no person shooting or no one with a gun was found, Melasonson added.
Police also searched the Johnson’s Cove and Swan Lake areas after witnesses described the shots as out of town, but no one was found. (Photo by David Venn)
