Iqaluit police seek ATV driver who struck child

Seven-year-old boy receives hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries

As of mid-afternoon on Jan. 17, the Iqaluit RCMP were still seeking an all-terrain-vehicle driver who struck a seven-year-old boy earlier that day, a Jan. 17 police news release said.

The ATV driver struck the boy at around 11:35 a.m. in the 2600s area of Iqaluit, known to many residents as “Legoland.”

The boy was taken to the Iqaluit hospital, where he’s receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police describe the ATV as “green” and said Jan. 17 that the driver is “still at large.”
