A flim crew in town to shoot a new feature film called Iqaluit sets up a shoot in front of Iqaluit’s Storehouse Pub Sept. 4. Directed by Quebec’s Benoit Pilon, the film tells the story of Carmen (played by Quebec actress Marie-Josée Croze) who comes to Iqaluit to piece together the secret life of her construction worker husband Gilles (played by Natar Ungalaaq). The film — a co-production by ACPAV of Montreal and Nunavut’s Piksuk Media — has a planned 2016 cross-Canada release. (PHOTO BY STEVE DUCHARME)
