Some like Iqaluit's rocks which show where vehicles can go and its posts which divide roads from sidewalks — and others can't wait until they're removed. At an Iqaluit City Council engineering and public works committee May 7, Iqaluit’s director of public works, Keith Couture, said the city’s roads and sidewalks need to be rebuilt from the ground up. Couture outlined a plan to upgrade roads and sidewalks starting from the Four Corners' intersection of Federal Road and Mivvik St.. Couture hopes to have the work done as part of five-year $3.18 million capital project. And if that's done, the plan could eliminate the need for posts and boulders.
